​Hays CISD VIPs (Volunteers in Public Schools)

In order to volunteer within Hays CISD, you must register with the school district and complete a criminal background check.
If you have not done this in a previous year, you will need to create a new account.
If you have already done this in a previous year, you should have received an email with instructions for re-verifying your volunteer account.

www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0B4AA5A62CA1FC1-50016972-goforgood#/SHOW TIME! The 2024-2025 season is here! That means that the thespians are preparing non-stop and polishing up their skills, auditioning for shows and preparing for performances.  It also means that it is time for us to step in and help. We will be doing that in several ways:
  • Feeding these hungry actors at several rehearsals and performances so that they can be at their best.
  • Volunteering on rehearsal and show dates. We need YOU!
  • Providing concessions for sale at the shows.
  • Volunteering for our Go For Good 5k
To help coordinate all of these activities, we have created a series of sign-ups for food, volunteers and concessions supplies. This is where we will share all of the current needs Sign-Up Genius links. Check back here often. It’s a lot, so if you’re confused or need any help please don’t hesitate to call or text me (Annie Downing at 512-216-0925).  Click each link below to access the individual Sign-Up Genius links.

IMPORTANT NOTE for VOLUNTEERS:  We encourage everyone to schedule one night simply to attend the show. Sit with your family, enjoy every moment of the experience -- and then schedule a DIFFERENT night (or multiple nights!) to volunteer.  Many of the volunteer roles (tickets, concessions, backstage) require you to miss parts of the show.  It takes a lot of volunteer support from theatre families and friends to make these shows happen.  Over the course of rehearsals and shows for just the fall musical it's about 75+ hours of parent volunteer time.  Again, please pay special attention to the volunteer slots because some of these DO require you to miss portions of the shows.
