Scholarship Application
The Hays High School Theatre Booster Club exists to support the award-winning theatre programs at Hays High School. One of the Booster Club’s primary goals is funding annual scholarships for graduating HHS senior theatre students.
This scholarship program is meant to reward students who are currently enrolled in and attending Hays High School, who have been a part of the theatre program for at least 1 year, and who have demonstrated hard work, leadership, and commitment both to the theatre program and to HHS. Scholarship applicants should be committed to pursuing higher education or post high-school theatre training.

The scholarship committee will award scholarships with the amounts dependent upon the total number and merits of the applicants. The scholarship committee will consist of 3 to 5 volunteers who are NOT parents of current seniors. Please direct any questions to [email protected]. Scholarship winners will be announced at Dram Prom in May, and will be included in the Hays HS scholarship celebration event.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- The application is due Wed. April 1, 2026 at 11:59 pm
- You need a Letter of Recommendation from someone other than Ms. Stewart and Mr. DeSutter. You should request this as soon as possible.
- You will need a copy of your transcript.
- You will need to write a 500-word essay, using the prompt below.
- Please tell the Scholarship Committee a little about yourself. This is your chance to let the committee know a little more about you as a person. You should also include the reasons you believe that you are deserving of the scholarship, as well as how your time in the Hays Theatre Program has shaped or impacted you.
